Why I love Home Depot

Some of you may have seen my story in one of the many places I have posted it, but just in case not, this story is too awesome not to share. :D

So dh and I went into Home Depot looking for a barbecue grill today (4th of July.) We had to find one that the dogs wouldn't eat the hoses, so it needed to be encased. They didn't really have one that was exactly like we wanted but maybe we could make it work, but we went to a couple of other stores looking to see if we could find a better one. We ultimately decided to go back and get the "make it work one" It was on sale for $369, normally $600. So I went back alone to pick it up, but there was a HUGE ding in the doors and frame, so they ended up calling all over trying to find me one, offered me some money off or I could get the next step up for the same money. The only problem was the next step up, was not encased. A couple steps up from that one was one that was normally $800 and they said they would do it for $450. It has an oven and a rotisserie, side burner, back burner, searing burner and like 4 other burners. Think the king daddy of all barbecue grills! LOL Oh yeah and we can actually convert it so it can hook directly to the house natural gas, which we have a spigot thing for that. PLUS everything was totally enclosed, no need to rig anything up. So I said ok, I will take that one, plus I got a free propane tank. So when they go to load it into my truck, it was a BEAST!!! so heavy. Three guys and they couldn't get it in there, plus it has stuff on the back so they couldn't slide it. Tried multiple ways etc, but because of the shell on my truck it wouldn't fit. Here's the funny part! So I decide it is only like 6 blocks to my house, so I am going to "walk" it home! (Can't you just picture it?!) I get most of the way across the parking lot and here comes one of the guys running, saying they got permission to drive it home for me, no charge! Wasn't that just the coolest nicest thing! Plus they helped dh to unload it etc. Can you even believe it?! I will tell you what, Home Depot ROCKED in customer service tonight!
